Psychology advisor

The full job title is Psychology Advisor for the Mental Health and Peace-building Program. Reporting directly to the Technical Director the Psychology Advisor will develop the professional skills of psychologists in the Mental Health Program by identifying current needs developing training materials and supervising psychology and counselling work. They will also strengthen the currently available psychological tools and systems used by the program as well as getting involved in other work as necessary including working with research projects and developing training and tools to be used outside the program. With high levels of mental health problems and newly developing counselling and psychology services this role has huge potential to transform peoples lives.

The candidate will be a qualified clinical educational or other psychologist with relevant experience and an interest in training others. They will speak fluent English and be willing to learn the local language. They will be able to work collaboratively within a multicultural team setting and be willing to model our core values. They will have good communication skills and be flexible and adaptable to change. They will demonstrate a willingness to learn from others.
