Overview
On Track, Interserve’s short-term program, enables individuals, couples and families to learn and serve across cultures through individually tailored, occupation-focused, short-term mission experiences in Asia and the Arab world for a term of one month to one year. Select individuals can extend this to two years.
Since we are wholistic in our approach to life and service, opportunities to establish meaningful relationships and express one’s faith arise as our intercultural workers serve in the name and spirit of Christ.
Purpose
We aim to assist our workers in their personal and spiritual development in a variety of service and learning environments. We do this by facilitating short-term opportunities that are connected with those who have made long-term commitments to the peoples of Asia and the Arab world.
Short-term placements are intended to be equipping experiences that prepare the worker’s attitudes and behaviors for lives of service. In addition, Interserve’s short-term program looks to integrate four significant constituents in support of the Church’s Mandate: the sending fellowship, the receiving church and community, the individual being sent, and the sending organization.
